Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) is now a key part of good property management. Driving part of this is the large number of housing providers that now fall under the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) requirements. This means for the first time housing providers will have to measure and report their annual carbon footprint. Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) is the UK Government's replacement legislation to a number of existing programmes covering energy and carbon reporting and taxation.
